Yes it is getting close to the shutdown.... thanks to all the 125, 000 visitors who has visited this site over the past year... Now however because of the actions of Hackers, Scammers and Spammers as the post says enough is enough.... It has been fun and the fun will continue as the game still has servers running both on V1 and Gold so maybe we will cross swords again.... Good Luck and Take Care....

Time to say good bye! Dear SOF - players, I never thought that it would end this way. I hoped to play and win here as an 80 years old man, loooooool. Ok, the victories didn´t happen so often hehe. Hey guys, Wow, I used to play this game nearly 30 hours a week non stop all the way up untill 2010. It was so addictive I couldn't explain it. I used to play for SCClan, but it seems to have disapeared. The other server I was in love with was Wasteland which sadly has also disapeared. However I was excited when I saw 100's of players in the servers but 99% of them turned out to be bots which took me a few bloody hours to figure out! Anyway, is there some sort of tornement that you guys do weekly, I would love to join and kick start this game again! OH THE MEMORIES!

Hi Slug it's good to hear from you, as you said we've had a bloody good time. But as they say "all good things come to an end". I've got very fond memories of this site from the early days when you set it up and I've continued to enjoy it for many years and also had it as my h*mepage since it's been in existence. The death map comps were something else unless you forgot to put your armour on LOL. I still have copies of Chicanes vids of those. I'd like to thank Mike for keeping the Message Board and CH server running for so long. thanks a lot Mike it's much appreciated.

Sorry I have just heard the news about the server and site closing. Yes its the end of an era but it has been a very long run and much thanks to Mike for keeping it going for all this time. Recently I have been playing quite a lot of SOF2 Gold but the servers are constantly being attacked by ddos Denial of Service so very hard to enjoy playing now. ANYWAY just want to thank all the great people that have made the community since the game came out. Many of you I will never forget, some I have met up with and the laughs we have had. Fumb Ducker what a character :) Oh and those DM competitions and Chicanes Videos. Not to mention the help and tips that have been given when asked for. WHAT A BLOODY GOOD TIME WE HAVE HAD for the cost of a game that was I think about a tenner. LOVE and HAPPINESS TO YOU ALL IN THE FUTURE - from Slug aka Mack The Knife...…….. Now I'm off to copy all the Hints and Tips while they are still there :)

So now...the end is near....and so we face....the final shoot out...Mike, thanks for all your time, effort and of course money to keep this site and server alive. We all appreciate what you have done for us, maybe i will send you a cake...mmmmm. I know you like the Call on me video, so as we are all now heading for a destination unknown, this song seems appropriate. I dont normally like marching bands but for some reason I like this video. Its all about Sax baby....enjoy
