Fov is a setting in console i set fov to full which is 100 think in console you type "cg_fov 100. basic is 80. setting to 100 allows u more view to the side

Auto aim and worst of all autofire as well as looking thro walls are hacks not scripts. I have a script that posts different things everytime u want to say something such as "Ah just lost my leg" or "nice shot x". so scripts are not hacks.

Pass me a shovel..... IMO changing the config such as crosshair size and colour that is not available in options Fine with me. There are other setting such as FOV that I'm not so sure about but hey ho. Scripts for high jumps and crouch lean are IMO unfair changes designed to give an advantage over players using a regular config. Is it cheating? Well not in the same class as downloading scripts that let you see through walls, turn off fog or auto aim but then again IMO not strictly in keeping with the spirit of the game IMO - all comments IMO of Slug. I have now finished with the shovel - anyone else want to dig?

The Jump higher tip has 3 different ways of acheiving the same end.... 1.use 2 keys.... 2.Enter the line of text using the console.... 3.Enter the line into your .cfg file.... By entering the line into your console you are also editing your .cfg, by entering any bind like bind x say Good Shot is doing the same thing.I personally don't see anything wrong or cheating about that.

Hi degem. I was always cautious about giving details of anything that could give an advantage to a player BY EDITING the config file. Never had a problem with typing into the console. Saying that I notice there is an item listed for 'jump higher'. When I had the site I removed a couple of items that involved editing the config file (that affected how you played) at the request of a group on who's server I played a lot and had a great deal of respect for. It was a subject of debate at the time. I still believe its slightly unfair to make changes to the config file (that affect how you play) that cannot be done in the options settings. My wife says I'm an old fart as well :)

Hello KTM10 if you go to the page at the link the "Hints&Tips" page go down to the section at- An Easy Way to Set-up a Server on Your PC- and have a read at that..... hope that is what you are looking for..... At Degem there is a player profile for Fumb Ducker at the players A-Z page under F I don't recall there ever being profiles submitted by the other names you mentioned....

Fumb made a comeback for a short while about 8 months ago but as you say so many have moved on possibly taking their witty handles onto other fields of battle. Even some of the people that migrated from gold to v.1 have gone AWOL. A few have blown the dust off their CD's and payed a visit and its always nice to see old friends again. 10 years is a very long time in the life of a FPS game.

If two people join on 1.03 with same cd key they get kicked. So now u dont need cd key all servers shud set cd key identity to "0"

Degem I would imagine that most servers don't bother about CD keys as Activision released thousands of SOF2 CD's with the same key thereby nullifying PB. Also Evenbalance don't support SOF2 anymore, the onus is on the SOF2 server admins to kick hackers.

Thing is ods starts when it was released. It was first released in America but had gliches and it was only two years later, released here in uk. So do not need to explain how to get a copy of the game which is no longer produced by either id because carmack was sacked and activision because they can't do it without carmack but the game is even in uk free.

Yes it was slug who asked me and for three weeks posted that site on bygames. Before u had 10 memebers and after u had 200. But it was posted as an rmg site and u still support that type of game.

I think Slug may have asked you that Degem as this was his site for many years, it has never been mine. No you didn't annoy me it's just that this is a SOF2 message board not just a SOF2 RMG MB. I'm sure 50 would agree, SOF2 keep it alive be it regular maps or RMG :)

Sorry to annoy u doogie but when u asked me to post ur site on bygames i agreed because i also liked rmg and i did my best to get rmg on bygames and believe it or not to a great fight just to get 3 maps, but i am also fond of the old maps because i know where to go but the beauty of the game is not to know the map

Degem there is no problem whatsoever with infrequent's post. He was only expressing his opinion, surely that's a big part of what this message board is about. tbh I prefer the regular maps myself but still enjoy a bit of rmg. Time I most enjoy rmg is playing ctf but that ain't good against bots :)

Just my two cent. The few times I've been on the CH server it's been rmg, rmg, rmg! I did not even know that the server had the standard mp maps. I miss those soo much. But I really, really, really dislike rmg maps.Really! rmg is about running, and for me sof2 is about surprises around the corner and especially jumping .... and that means standard maps with vok for variation :-)
