I have now removed the competition banner... congratulations to MDK DL on winning the competition.... If you are having another one let me know and I will certainly try and take part..

Hey 50 just to let you know you can remove the deathmatch banner now mate , thanks again for your support. We had a good little event. The winner was MDK DL by some large margin lol. Found this on the old SOF Players Jokes Page from many years ago...... Ha A sales rep parks his brand new Porsche in front of the office to show it off to his colleagues. As he's getting out of the car, a huge 18 wheel truck comes flying along too close to the kerb and takes off the door before speeding off. Distraught, the rep grabs his mobile and calls the police. Five minutes later, the police arrive. Before the cop has a chance to ask any questions, the rep starts screaming hysterically: "My Porsche, my beautiful red Porsche is ruined. No matter how long it's at the panel beaters it'll simply never be the same again!" After the rep finally stops ranting and raving, the policeman shakes his head in complete disgust. "I can't believe how materialistic you bloody sales people are, " he says, "You lot are so focused on your possessions that you don't notice anything else in your life." "How can you say such a thing at a time like this?" snaps the rep. The policeman replies, "Didn't you realise that your left arm was torn off when the truck hit you?" The rep looks down in absolute horror. "F***ing hell!" he screams, "Where's my Rolex?"

Now trying out Windows 10 build 10525. Only notable features are it's better memory management and the ability to choose a colour for the title bar, start menu etc. Also runs very fast.

Hi 50. My reply to Slug was a bit misleading I suppose. I assumed he had upgraded from his Windows 7 machine. As you posted thogh the way to do a clean install is first to upgrade your existing system then download a Win 10 iso and burn it to a DVD or USB key. Format the existing upgrade and then clean install. Overall i'm pretty happy with Win 10 apart from a slow bootup, Service Release 1 is supposed to be coming out within the next 2 weeks so I'll give that a go but if I don't get a faster bootup it's format time then clean install :)

Glad to hear you had a nice holiday DooGie...... When upgrading to Windows 10 it never asked for a serial key and actually generated a new one that was different from my original key on the computer..... Did you do a clean install Slug or was it an upgrade? Any posts I read said you had to do it as an upgrade and not a clean install the first time.

Just arrived back from a weeks holiday in Northumbria, had a great time with only one day of rain. Rest of the time it was hot with clear blue skies. Slug you don't need a product key for Windows 10 you can just skip that bit during installation. Activation can take a few days though. If you have any problems Windows 10 forums is a good place to go.

Many thanks for the link Mike and comments Degem. I have used it to update my old Win 7 PC and all seems OK except my product key not being recognized. Not sure if that will fix with time? Anyway it will give me a chance to compare 10 with 8.1.

Slug Iv'e just updated my desktop and main laptop and both are working perfectly but have a laptop I use for streaming to tv it has a broken hinge. When I tried to update it, it failed so think I need to update all drivers because have all windows updates in it. Therefore update everything on your old computer just to save time.

Slug you can download the files from Microsoft and make an installation disc or USB whatever you prefer. Go to link and download whichever version you want then use the Media Creation Tool.

Hi Doogie. Thanks, I must be slipping because I never checked it myself. I trust your findings on 10 so more likely to give it another go. I wish I knew how to put it on my old PC currently running Win 7 but haven't used it for moths and not sure if the option is available.

Fixed your link Slug it still had the extra http in front of the https. I'm sticking with 10 now but will probably do a clean install of it as I keep finding a number of Win 7 legacy files around still.

Looks like they may have fixed the openGL issue with intel HD graphics and Windows 10 but not really feeling like upgrading to 10 just at the moment. In the short time I had it I could not see any great benefits but I suppose support for 8.1 will disappear and end up changing eventually.

FU Flipper has recently started an RMG server on sof2 version 1. Over the last few weeks we've had nights where as many as ten players would be online. WE need help though. Game nights are unorganized and the server rarely experiences more than two players over a period of one mapcycle. Spread the word if you are willing to dust off the old cd's and lock n' load that AK.
