The problem is that drives that size were unheard of when SOF2 was released and it confuses the programme, that's why you get the message about not enough disk space. If copying it over from a smaller drive doesn't work then the only solution would be to create a small partition on your 4TB drive and install it there.

Thank you 50_BELLIES, I will give it a try.

50_BELLIES
Bred4war there is no problem running the game from other media I have copied my SOF2 onto a USB stick and play it from that.... If you install to another drive then copy onto your 4TB drive it will work from that ok. Hope that helps you out.

I was thinking, maybe if I tried to install on a smaller drive (500GB) and then copy the contents of the install over to the larger drive. Would the game still work if it isn't located in the original install location?

Posted: 2nd December 17, 12:48pm

Bred4War
Thank you for replying, it's just for SOF2 ... I've not experienced it with any other game/program.

50_BELLIES
Bred4war is it only when installing SOF2 you get this message or with any programme you try to install? Look at the link the site shows how to check a disks size allocation.

Hello all, I am trying to install SOF2 on my new rig. The drive I am trying to install on is 4TB with just over 2TB of free space but the game will not install telling me there is not enough space on the drive. Can anyone please shed some light on this issue?

4 or 5 times a year.... hmm I think I have something else in that category but I'm still playing SOF2 4 or 5 times a week. It has to be the single most value for money purchase I ever made :)

DooGie (aka -=Garbage DinGo=-)
I play very rarely Slug. Probably only about 4 or 5 times this year.

Slug
Hi DooGie. Do you still play SOF2? We will have to have a 'Christmas Pissup' for old times sake.

Just checked my archive of SOF2 maps and it shows a crazy 3.1 GB of them, gotta be some duplicates there lol :D

50_BELLIES
That is a great download Slug I didn't count the maps but there are certainly a lot.... :D Blade bins go out on Tuesdays LOL.

Blade
Thanks slug, just downloaded it and put the maps i already had in the recycle bin..... I now just have to remember what day to put the bin out....

Posted: 19th November 17, 09:56pm

Slug
I recently found this ZIP file which contains just about every SOF2 map ever made. Its very useful but at 1.7Gb best unzip to a separate folder then just add the maps you need to your base folder as and when you need them.

Probably best is to put the bins out every night, wait until the next morning then realise it's the wrong day and bring them back again until the evening and start the procedure all over again. Just make sure it's dark in the evening so your neighbours don't realise you've lost the plot :D

Blade
But Slug, I did put my bins out yesterday....or did I?

Posted: 10th November 17, 09:38pm

DooGie (aka -=Garbage DinGo=-)
Or even the opposite way round Slug. You think it was only a week ago when you put your Bottle and Paper bins out then you realise it was a month ago :)

Slug
You know your getting old when it seems only yesterday you but the bins out.
