It made a good change to have a few games on CH with -=Garbage Crow=- tonight. See you've lost none of your skill m8 :)

Thanks Mike. When the master servers went down someone posted a link to a modified sof2MP.exe file which I was using but it did not correct the missing server list. I just went back to using the original .exe file and the list is back.

I just checked again and I get new list OK. I sent you an e-mail with the IP address to add if you are running a server.

The reason the link didn't work is there is already the start of web address in the link box and when peeps insert a copied address it adds to the start and then the link will not work... I looked at the config of the message board and I don't think I can remove this.... the way round it is to delete the start already there and then paste in the address of the link. I have fixed your original link Degem and it will work now.

Thanks for the info 50. I'll probably set up my PC to dual boot Windows 7 & 10 this weekend.

SOF2 runs ok on Windows 10 64bit I tried it today had a bit of tinkering to do with my AV but apart from that works OK. I am flying to LA in a British Airways A380 upper deck but it has a different layout from Emirates.

Anyone tried SOF2 on Windows 10 preview?

Emirates are good to fly with Degem. For long haul flights you're on either a Boeing 777 or an Airbus A380. The seats on these are slightly higher than most planes so you can stretch your legs ot underneath the seat in front. Good choice of films as well, over 400 on the flights I was on. I'd like to try business class to NZ so I'd be on the upper deck of an A380, nice bar to prop up :) but £5, 500 each the holiday would get a bit expensive LOL. Also the food would probably still taste crap.

Have not flown with emirates but have flown through Raf Muharraq a few times and now know to pick the weavels out the bread before eating. but that was in late sixties because I had the greatest pleasure of closing that air field down in the 70s. It is on Bahrain Island

I have never flown with Emirates I think my last flight to USA they also used metal eating irons too.... LOL. I have flights booked to USA in June from London Heathrow to Los Angeles with British Airways I will report what their food is like.

DooGie (aka -=Garbage DinGo=-)
One good thing about Emirates is that you get metal cutlery 50. No bendy knives and forks that snap.

I am sure there is some waste comes off a long haul flight.... between left over food scraps, cans, plastic bottles and cutlery etc. I suppose they do recycle most of it.

I know what you mean 50 but for me the hot meals are absolutely crap. Best thing I ate was the breakfast, fresh fruit and croissant, part of it is probably me not enjoying flying. Oh the red wine was good though :)

50_BELLIES
I have found that the meals on aircraft have come along quite a lot over the years and they have improved the taste quite a bit.... still there is always room for improvement....

Thanks for the reply Degem.

Food always tastes crap because you are flying above 30000 feet and therefore your sinus closes giving you no taste. I used to work at RAF Brize Norton and used to raid the onflight kitchens with the ops officers permission and the food was great.

DooGie (aka -=Garbage DinGo=-)
Yes m8 I discovered that as soon as we got off the plane :) Searching around in bags for jumpers time. Also, why does food on planes always taste like cr*p !

Hi DooGie good to hear you are back home and had a great holiday....... It has been much cooler here LOL.

Hi 50, got back around noon today but have bad jetlag :( Holiday was great, plenty of sunshine and temps between 22 and 29 every day. Was going to post updates but only had my phone with me and can't abide posting with it as I always end up with typos. When a phone is brought out with a big enough screen for me to see I'll have to buy jeans with clown sized pockets LOL.

I had a great time Mr Magpie went to the Angel of the North... it is impressive up close. The museum is the one at Nissan I was able to go inside the Vulcan and sit in the pilots seat.... It is being repainted and looks great.. Went to the Metro Centre and looked round it... I will be back some time as it is a nice city and I didn't really have enough time to see round it all.

That link is for creating a server 50 what I was saying if you just replaced the servercache.dat file with one that had a favourites installed would it show up as favourites on sof2v1

I think I read something about some guys putting up an alternative master browser. Nothing about putting it up on a website, but maybe an article on how to add it would help? :) http://www.demobase.eu/index.php/topic/26565-demosilvergoldsof2-masterserver/

Link

Posted: 30th January 15, 10:04pm

50_BELLIES
Yes Degem there is a full server.dat cache file for download on the site already and also instructions where to put it at link.

Link

Posted: 30th January 15, 09:41pm

Degem
50 in base folder is a servercache.dat file think it may contain the details of the server so if you have your server in your favourites then is it not possible to put that file on web page for download with instructions to go to favourites

The only thing to help the game would be if the master server list was working, people who install the game have no game server list so cant join any servers. It is only people who are aware of Qtracker and HLSW to get server list that can see and join games. If there was some way I could display these live on site with games list that would be something.... Anyone got any ideas?
