Think I'm going to go with BT Infinity 50. Where I live I'm only around 100 metres from the cabinet so should get around 60mb download speed and 16mb upload. Now that upload speed should give me a good ping on CH :)

Sorry I've not been on for a few days but my ISP has screwed up big time. My ISP is/was ADSL24 which I've been with for 7 years with no probs. Suddenly they announce they are being taken over by a company called COMS and everyone with ADSL24 will be migrated to their network. My migration was last wednesday with an announced maximum downtime of 2 hours. Nearly 4 days after my migration and I still can't connect. After spending hours on the phone to them over the last few days I've got nowhere. Just got back from buying a 3G USB Dongle so at least I can browse the web again and post on here. Also I'm off for a few days on the Norfolk coast from next Monday, if my connection isn't restored by the time I get back then I'll be phoning them to get my MAC and find another ISP. Dunno when I'll be gaming again :(

I still have my ZX81 boxed with its 16k ram pac.....sticker on the box says ZX81 starter pack £49 from John Menzies. What about that screeching noise from the tape recorder if you forgot the jack plug in the side, eeeeeeeeeeeeee, Bzzzzzzzzzz, eeeeeeeeeeeee !!! Still got the old tennis pong game boxed from the 70s too. #retro

I started with a Creed type 7a then b the c then d then e then a type 15 which actually had 4 lines of keys. Then the Commodore plus 4 16 bit and commodore plus 4 32 bit then an Amstrad 086 then ibm 386 and built my first Pentium 200

DooGie, you said that -=CH=- "runs a mixture of RMG and standard maps". Is that right ? I have never seen any standard maps played there - only converted SP maps :-(

Ah the ZX81 was my first computer built from a kit but it took forever to save and load data to an audio cassette recorder. I upgraded to a Sharp MZ80k which had its own screen and built in audio cassette recorder. I used that for a few years then went to a PC with 5 1/4 floppy drive and MS dos. Ahh happy days.

I decided to come back and play SoF2 for a bit of craic, but how do you get PB Updated so that you can play on a Server with PB enabled (got kicked for PB Init :(), downloaded the PBSetup and it seems they don't support it anymore :(

Cheers 50, I've actually been back since Monday. Had to come back a bit early as the village we were staying in was in danger of getting cut off by an overflowing river. I've never seen so much rain before, getting out of the village we were driving through around a foot of water, guess that's why it is the Lake District though. I've only managed to get on CH a couple of times since I got back as my Son and his gf are still over from NZ.
