50 I'm pretty certain that Slug and myself played Combatzone Mod a few times many years ago. Trouble was that you could overdo the water so that the map would become a big lake.

I had a read about the Combatzone Mod and also about the Australian Mod I am sure they looked good with the different added structures and the water.... By the way I got my PC running earlier this evening..... woohooooo :D

Hi Koke I would suggest you download a program like HLSW or Qtracker they show how many bots or players there are on a list of SOF2 servers.......

Hi Emma ;) Funny you can use a calculator to play a game (Death Adder) LOL..... I have received the updated map "Red Dawn" this morning from MajorProblem... Downloads are now enabled again for the map..... Thanks go to MajorProblem for the speedy update of the map.... I am looking forward to some more new maps.

I've been using an Imperator since they came out and love it. A bit pricey and some peeps have trouble with them skipping. I'm on my second Imperator now as the internals for the scroll wheel snapped on my first after around 18 months. I love Razer mice but I still feel their build quality is a bit suspect.

Hi TAM. They are pretty hard to come by now as they aren't made anymore. Buying second hand isn't really an option as they would most likely be knackered. One place I did come across though is the one in the link.

I uploaded the new map to the CH Server this evening and a few of us had a run round the map..... I must say I was very impressed with the quality and appearance of it all...... The only problem I had was with the textures of the roofing on a couple of buildings (Large white lines in blocks) I have seen this before where there were missing textures but that is the only problem I saw.All in all a very nice map.... Well done MajorProblem.

Yes DooGie they were great games M8.... My pleasure to keep the server running. I had an e-mail from MajorProblem today who has made a new map for SOF2 called "Red Dawn" I have uploaded it to the "Maps" page at the link for download... I haven't had a chance to play on the map yet but from the screenshots it looks very nice...... :D Also added to the "Downloads" page.

Nice to see lots of people on tonight. Just read the news about Slug taking time out. Yes, SOF2 is great fun but also a HUGE time consumer. It's easy to spend too much time playing... just like those annoying Tower Defense games on the ipod/iphone. Anyone who tries to kick the SOF2 habit... it's hard! ;) Anyway, I guess now is a good time to say thanks to Slug for all the help, effort, and teamsmanship he has put into the game and the site. Hope to see him online soon.

I'm certain a lot of us have had a break from SOF2 in the past. Mine normally lasted about a week :-). However I expect Slug will be away for quite a bit longer than that, nothing to stop you coming on for the occasional game though m8. Cheers and look after yourself Slug.

I had an e-mail from Slug last night to say that Slug is taking a break from SOF2... I hope it is not a permanent break.... Slug made this website as a place where players could come to get help and advice on playing the game of SOF2 and I hope it still fulfills that purpose..... Hope to see you in the future Slug and "Thank you" for all you have done for the SOF2 community...
