That explains the really bad lag we've been getting for the last 2 nights on CH. Everyones ping would suddenly leap up to around 350 about every 15 minutes and last for around 3 minutes.

Just home and checked my e-mails... I had an e-mail from 2K3 Servers last night at 11.48pm... "Due to ongoing DDOS attacks, we had to take all gameservers offline for 24 hours.If you know any persons responsible, please contact us at support@2k3servers.com. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The server is still offline... If anyone does know who is responsible please contact 2K3 Servers.

The reason for stopping the server overnight was to get it back on the ingame browser list that it had vanished from for some reason.... not because of the lag I was getting... I had tried rebooting my router thinking the problem was with me but as my tracert shows it is/was a problem with leasewebs..... Just been on the server and had a much better ping than last night... hope it stays that way.

For me the server is no different 50. Have you tried rebooting your router? My ping is still good but there are some really bad pings from Canada as you would expect :)

The high ping I am experiencing to the CH server is because the last 3 hops out of 11 are over 90+ ping the rest are fine so this would be the leaseweb part of the connection is faulty to some extent...... :( I am going to shut down the server later as it is not showing up in the game browser list again and restart it in the morning......

How often do I have to tell you this sof2 sets it's own registry all you need is the folder. Have put it on a dozen machines just by copying folder and putting in on a new machine.

Nice Mike, SOF2 needs no registry entries so it can be used as a portable game. Play anywhere in the world with your USB key :)

Had to re-install the PC over the weekend and was playing SOF2 off a USB memory stick this evening from a back up copy of the SOF2 Folder, it worked very well and I didn't have to install the game either LOL...... :D

Even boredom wouldn't inspire you to do that infrequent. That would be getting far to anal m8. SOF2 exists in small niches still, however the game is mainly dead.

No, Doogie, no spreadsheet. I did however rename certain Pictures and demos immediately after playing the game. Actually I made a ReFrag Sidekick program that could analyse action in demofiles and list it to a text file. If I still have it I could let it process all my demofiles and get a list of all frags, deaths and players I have played with. But I do not think I'm bored enough yet :)
